As we settle into 2016, I can’t help but look back on the events of the past year and how the efforts from 2015 have set us up to serve our clients and our mission even better in the months to come. 2015 was an amazing year! As I recall all we accomplished, one word continually comes to mind: Gratitude. Gratitude for the new clients who have allowed us to join their team. Gratitude for our new employees who make us smarter. And gratitude for the numerous opportunities to spread the word across the country about the importance of marketing hospice through speaking engagements, webinars and thought leadership pieces.

2015 brought Transcend not one but three new clients: Hospice of Dayton (OH), Hospice of the Bluegrass (KY) and a coalition of five hospices in North Carolina. Each of these clients brings unique strengths and challenges to Transcend and we look forward to working with each of you in 2016 to grow awareness, market share and revenue.
2015 also saw Transcend on the road as we traveled across the country to speak to other hospice marketing professionals. We were invited to present at state conferences in California, North Carolina and South Carolina. Transcend also spoke at two national conferences, NHPCO’s Management and Leadership Conference in D.C. and Simione Sales Leadership Summit in Las Vegas.

And while it’s not about the awards, it’s nice to be recognized by your peers for excellence. We were honored to receive two awards for our work. Transcend’s “Moments of Life: Made Possible by Hospice” campaign for NHPCO won the Bulldog Reporter gold award for nonprofits. The “Moments of Life” campaign also won gold in “Best Rich Media” for the 2015 eHealthcare Leadership Awards.

Finally, as Transcend continues to grow, we were fortunate to welcome three new experts to our team. Jon Marker, our business development manager; Stacy Baca director of content development; and Jacqui Barchick, associate creative director. I am thankful that each one of them shares our passion for bringing hospice to the forefront of end-of-life care.

As we start 2016, a special thank you to everyone who has helped to make Transcend the foremost hospice marketing public relations firm in the country. We are dedicated to our clients and to continuing our mission to help hospices Grow Smarter.
